FCL has successfully installed and is operating 4 nos. of windmills generating a total 1.37 MW of power in Edayarpalyam, Udmalpet & Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu. The generated power is sold to the State Electricity Board for use in the National Grid. Recognizing that non-conventional sources of energy such as wind are an emerging area of social responsibility, which provides business opportunities within the parameters of CDM (Clean Development Mechanism), the company plans to invest significantly in this business in the state of Tamilnadu in coming years.

With these plans underway, wind energy is expected to be another driver of growth for FCL in the coming years.
